Guidelines for Safe Driving, Without a Load and Load Pick-Up

1. Basic rules of operation always apply.
2. Drive only as fast as conditions allow.
3. Buckets, blades, etc. low to the ground, for best visibility & machine stability.
   
4. Beware of hidden or obscured objects.
5. Remain aware of all traffic in the work area, both vehicle & pedestrian.

Load Pick up

• Know the approximate load weight
  – ensure within m/c capacity.
• Know the rated load capacity & limitations of the equipment.
  – mfg’s equipment manual.
• Overloading is dangerous!
