Employer Duties – Section 25 (1) & (2)
Employer shall ensure,
- equipment, materials & protective devices required are provided;
- maintained in good condition;
- used as required;
- workers – trained & aware of hazards;
- take all reasonable precautions to protect worker’s health & safety.
Supervisor’s Duties – Section 27 (1) & (2)
A supervisor shall ensure that a worker,
- works in the manner & with protective devices, measures & procedures required by this Act & the regulations;
- uses or wears equipment, protective devices or clothing the employer requires;
- advise workers of any potential or actual health & safety danger;
- take every precaution reasonable to protect workers health & safety.
Worker’s Duties – Section 28 (1) & (2)
A worker shall,
- work in compliance with Act & regs;
- use or wear equipment, protective devices or clothing employer requires;
- report to employer/supervisor any known;
- hazards, missing or defective equipment or protective device
- contravention of Act or regs., rules, policies, etc.
Workers shall NOT
- remove or make ineffective any protective device required by regs. or the employer,
- work in a manner that endangers themselves or any worker,
- engage in any horseplay.
