Refueling
- Refuelling must be done.
- Refuelling locations should be well clear of other structures, and work areas.
- The engine must be stopped.
- No source of ignition within 3m or 10 ft.
- Bonding shall be maintained between the tank & nozzle or spout while refuelling.
- Extreme care – to avoid spills or overfilling.
– Spilled fuel – wiped up or flushed away before starting the engine. - Do not fill the tank to the top.
Fuel expands as the temperature rises,
allowing room for pressure build-up.
