Speed Considerations

• Speed is determined by work site conditions.
• Machine speed should be restricted to walking speed approx – 5 mph.
• When carrying a load, account for the type, size, etc. of the load being moved.

Power Take-Off (PTO)

• PTO can be extremely dangerous!
• Shoelaces, clothing, and hair can become entangled very quickly.

Precautions:

• Do not wear loose clothing.
• Disengage the PTO.
• Shut off the tractor engine.
• Never remove shields from the PTO shaft.
• Never step over the shaft – walk around.
