Starting Up
- Ensure the area is clear of all personnel.
- Sound horn – alert personnel equipment is being started.
- Start engine per manufacturer’s manual
– ensure operating correctly.
- Operate- control & shift levers
– ensure all functions correct
– forward, neutral & reverse. - Check parking & service brakes.
- Test steering – right & left
– while moving slowly.
- Before operating ensure you can control
– Speed – direction – braking
- Look & listen
– Stop if a malfunction or erratic operation is detected.
- Correct or report trouble immediately.
